About the Recipe
Delicious recipe that makes a great sweet and savory dish.
Ingredients
2 lbs spare ribs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
2-3 carrots (sliced)
2 stalks celery (sliced)
1 green or red bell pepper (sliced)
Small piece of ginger (ground)
Preparation
Step 1
Boil pork with 1/2 cup of water. Once boiling, turn heat down and simmer for one hour. Drain the water and take the spare ribs out, placing them in the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove the fat and place the meat and sauce back in the pan.
Step 2
Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the vegetables. Cook for 30 minutes, then add the vegetables and cook for another 30 minutes. Serve hot with rice.
