Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken breast/legs, cut up (with bones)

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 heaping tsp ginger, crushed

  • 1 heaping tsp garlic, crushed

  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped

  • 2 bay leaves, broken into pieces

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp curry powder

  • 1/3 tsp turmeric

  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander

  • 4-5 pods cardamom

  • 1 stick of cinnamon

  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1


Stir fry onion in oil until golden brown. Add ginger and garlic and fry for one more minute. Add the rest of the spices and cook for a couple of minutes. Add tomatoes and fry for one more minute. 



Step 2


Add cut-up chicken and mix well. Stir fry until chicken is brown. Add 1/2 cup of water and stir.
