About the Recipe
The fenugreek seeds add a subtle flavor to this dish that makes it delightful paired with curries and other South Asian dishes.

Ingredients
2 cups rice (soaked in a bowl)
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp ginger, crushed
4 cups of water
Salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a medium-sized pot. Add fenugreek seeds and fry.
Step 2
Once the fenugreek seeds are dark, add the soaked rice (without water) to the pot. Stir nicely. Then add the 4 cups of water, salt, and ginger and bring to a boil.
Step 3
Once the water is almost absorbed, reduce the heat to low and place cover on pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then turn heat off. Keep the pot covered for an additional 10-15 minutes. Serve hot with your favorite main course.
